While glancing through on one of the daily newspapers I saw the word `impact.' Dalam Melayunya, impak atau kekesanan yang ketara.
What is it? Kekesanan apa? It depends on what you are talking about. I would rather see it in its completion cycle and not how it begins. In an election for example, a candidate's campaign can been seen as making an impact on the voters but found himself lose the election.
My writing for example, I don't think it is making an impact to most of the readers. But it does make an impact on a number of persons for various individual reasons. An advertisement for example can be very sensational and everybody is talking about it. They are aware of the advertisement, but the product fails miserably in the marketplace. The product's feature might fail in capturing the interest of the buyer what more creating a conceptual desire in the customer and results in action described as a happy and timely purchases.
In conclusion, don't use the word `impact' as a measurement of one's success in life. It is such a lonely word, so to speak.
