Not even a word has been said...

It keeps me thinking, what kind of students am I teaching this semester? There are quite a number of students whom not a single word has been said in class despite of efforts to make them say something. What makes me feel bad, they even did not do well in assignment and tests. I ask something but no response whatsoever from them. Well there are educational theories as to why such a behaviour.

As a student they must take every opportunity to improve themselves. University's environment provides such an opportunity. So be the first person to seize the opportunity and you will rise to greater heights in life.

Philosophy of Teaching

Classroom is a place where students should be given the opportunity to explore, discuss, and imagine new ideas, expand their minds and grow as young people. Teaching to both the strengths and weaknesses of the students will encourage personal growth in and out of the classroom. One student’s strengths can be used to help improve another student’s weaknesses. It is important to get students to work together in class. Students tend to have greater comprehension when they exchange ideas and learn from each other. This gives all students a greater opportunity to succeed and feel comfortable in their abilities.
